Thank You!
The 23rd Annual Stocking Stuffer Magical Holiday Market was a wonderful success, made possible by the extraordinary generosity, creativity, and hard work of so many in our community. From the beautiful array of treasures available for purchase to the thoughtful planning and smooth execution, the event truly sparkled! We extend our heartfelt thanks to our event and room sponsors, supporters, local businesses, artisans, and volunteers—and to everyone who joined us to support small businesses and the Centre County Historical Society.
We are deeply grateful to Scholar Hotels LLC, McQuaide Blasko, Kish Bank, and Rapid Transit Sports for their generous event sponsorship. Special thanks as well to our friends at The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau for sponsoring our Stocking Stuffer rack card and for encouraging visitors to explore and discover all that Happy Valley has to offer.
Warm bouquets of gratitude go to floral designers Avant Garden and Daniel Vaughn Designs, whose professional talents have graced the Mansion with stunning holiday finery since 2009. We also thank Tait Farm Trees for donating the welcoming tree at the Stocking Stuffer entrance. They have been enjoyed by all of our December visitors.
Enthusiastic cheers to the Harris Township Lions Club volunteers for directing traffic and keeping our parking areas safe and accessible for shoppers throughout the event, despite the cold temperatures. And to Michael (Mike the Mailman) Herr for coming out for a book signing for his new book Pushing the Envelope!
Many thanks and kudos to the Centre Furnace Gardeners for their generous donations of time and materials—especially after a busy garden season—to beautifully decorate the Mansion’s exterior. Special appreciation goes to Garden Committee co-coordinators Beverly Lipski and Katie Frieden for their leadership and coordination and to Chris Igo for donating supplies for our lighted urns.
We are also grateful to Stocking Stuffer Chair Deb McManus, whose insight, dedication, and steady guidance are instrumental to the continued success of this beloved annual event.
Our sincere thanks to CCHS Marketing and Event Coordinator Johanna Sedgwick for seamless coordination of vendor registration and meticulous attention to detail in transforming the Mansion’s interior for vendor displays were truly remarkable. We also thank CCHS Archives Coordinator Katy Stager for coordinating the volunteer cashier area and supporting event logistics.
Thank you to our Centre Furnace Mansion docents and CCHS volunteers who assembled Stocking Stuffer products and assisted with countless tasks in between tours and other activities this fall. Special thanks to Jude Larkin for thoughtfully decorating the Mansion’s west parlor mantels.
And last, but certainly not least, we extend our deepest appreciation to our talented vendors. Your wonderful variety of products and beautifully curated displays help make Stocking Stuffer such a festive and joyful start to the holiday season.
As this event has grown over the years, so too has the collective effort that makes it an treasured community tradition. Our annual fundraisers, loyal members and donors, business and individual sponsors and supporters, and the thousands of volunteer hours generously given each year are essential to our work. It is thanks to this remarkable spirit of generosity that we are able to sustain tours, educational programming, and history initiatives at the Centre Furnace Mansion, the Boogersburg School, and beyond.
Thank you again, and best wishes for a joyous holiday season and a happy New Year,
Deb McManus, Stocking Stuffer Chair
