On May 5th & 6th the Centre County Historical Society will participate in Centre Gives, a 36-hour online giving event sponsored by the Centre Foundation.

From 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 5th, to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 6th, donors can visit CentreGives.org to help CCHS raise funds that will further their mission to help people understand, experience, appreciate and preserve Centre County’s cultural and natural heritage.

Contributions of at least $25 to the Centre County Historical Society will be supplemented by a percentage of matching funds from the Centre Foundation, so you can stretch your donation dollars.  Help CCHS raise additional dollars by following CCHS on Facebook, www.facebook.com/centrefurnace, and Twitter, @CentreHistory, for additional contests and prizes.  $25,000 in prizes is up for grabs!

A special open house will be held Tuesday 2 – 6 p.m. at the Centre Furnace Mansion for anyone who wishes to make a donation but may not have internet access or to tour the mansion.

Visit CentreGives.org on May 5th & 6th, and in the meantime, spread the word about Centre Gives and what it can do for the community!
