We are proud to announce that Jackie Melander will receive the Henry A. Jordan Award at the 2015 Annual Pennsylvania Historic Preservation Awards Luncheon. First held in 1979, the annual awards recognize significant contributions in the field of historic preservation made by both individuals and organizations.
Named for Henry A. Jordan (1936-2010), a former Preservation Pennsylvania Board Chairman and life-long supporter of the historic preservation movement, this award honors outstanding historic preservation efforts at the local and regional level in keeping with Henry’s belief that it is at the local level where real historic preservation occurs.
The awards are presented annually by Preservation Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth’s only statewide not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving Pennsylvania’s historic places through creative partnerships, targeted educational and advocacy programs, and advisory assistance.
