The Centre County Historical Society invites the public to attend a Centre County Historical Society Volunteer Fair to explore the variety of volunteer activities available at the Centre Furnace Mansion and Boogersburg School.
Do you have an interest in volunteering? Are you a local history buff, or love to garden? Consider volunteering with the Historical Society and go back in time while contributing time! Grab a friend and visit us at the Centre Furnace Mansion the on SATURDAY, July 30 at the Centre Furnace Mansion from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. We will have refreshments and stations set up to highlight various volunteer opportunities, staff and current volunteers will be on hand to help you with your questions and handouts will be available to help you find your niche!
CCHS has served as Centre County’s official historical society for over one hundred years since 1904. In a fast paced world, it is more meaningful now than ever to preserve the stories and artifacts that keep our county history alive for future generations.
As the Historical Society continues to expand, the need for volunteer contributions becomes even more critical. Whether your interest is local history, guiding tours, gardening, research, event planning, office projects, collections, writing, handy projects, educational programming, there are many ways you can contribute to the Historical Society.
